habit--Capsicum annuum is an herbaceous perennial leaves and young fruits (and a few mature fruits too)
mature fruit (berry)--this species is the ancestor to bell peppers, jalapenos, and many other similar peppers.  However, the chilipequin is hotter--beware, it packs quite a punch! flower--the flowers of Capsicum annuum have a similar look to the flowers of Solanum; however, in Capsicum, the anthers are blue instead of yellow
